University of Michigan, US,
Université Catholique de Lille, France
‘GLEF puts much premium on students’ global exposure and I am fortunate to go on two exchanges in the United States and Europe, respectively.
My first exchange to the University of Michigan has not only fulfilled my academic goals but also broadened my horizons, both intellectually and culturally. Beyond the classroom, I was able to experience the vibrant campus life. As a sports enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoyed watching various sports games, such as the baseball and ice-hockey games. The passion and camaraderie of the fans was truly inspiring. Go Blue!
In the year of the Paris Olympics, I went on my second exchange to Université Catholique de Lille. I stepped out of my comfort zone in finance and immersed myself in the study of political science. I explored the complexities of EU governance and intricate legal frameworks that shape the union.
For sure, travel is the highlight of exchange. I visited 13 states in the US and 15 countries in Europe. In New York City, I witnessed firsthand how diversity can bring in different perspectives and drive innovation. The stunning play of light and shadow created a breathtaking landscape in Antelope Canyon that left me in awe. Out of my travel destinations, my heart was left in Tromsø, Norway. The city gave me a distinct feeling of lightheartedness and simplicity. There, I was greeted by a mesmerizing natural spectacle - the Northern Lights. The enchanting shades of green, purple, and red left me enchanted, etching a lasting memory in my mind.
These exchange experiences have created a transformative impact for me, both personally and professionally. The connections I made, the knowledge I gained, and the experiences I had will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on my future.’
