“I have joined BASF as an intern in 2019 for 6 months. I worked in their Regional Treasury and Credit Risk team, under the Regional Finance department. My team is responsible for the cash management and customer credit risk management of the company’s business in the APAC region.

Working in this team has offered me with the opportunity to strengthen my knowledge in international finance and develop financial analysis skills in the credit perspective. Working on various data analysis and visualization projects also allow me to develop my techniques in handling large amount of data.

My takeaways from the internship experience also include gaining proficiency in various computer software, treasury and credit risk industry knowledge, data analysis experience and communication skills development.

For students who would like to pursue a career in corporate finance or a leading multinational company, I believe such internship experience would be a good option for them to get a taste of how working in this industry would be.”
