“During 2017, I completed a 6-month full-time internship with the role of Co-op Student Trainee in HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited. What I have learnt in this internship is greatly beyond expectation, including but not limited to industry exposure, technical skills as well as soft skills. 

Working in the Strategic Planning and Analysis Team, I was responsible for supporting the product governance activities. Through this experience conducting data analysis with key performance indicators and market competitive analysis with in-depth industry research, I have strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills by evaluating situations and identifying possible solutions. 

I was also directly involved in preparing high-level management reports and coordinating the product committee meetings, which I can learn the importance of accuracy and effective communication with seniors. These duties allowed me to gain deeper insight into the product development process and industry progression.

Thanks to my manager, Karen. She provided me with numerous opportunities to learn through assigning diversified tasks to me. Apart from the skills acquired, I built up valuable friendships with my team mates as well. To conclude, I gained remarkable and unforgettable memories with the colleagues in HSBC.”
