Exchange
Tim Bassanets – The University of Texas at Austin, USA
‘In my penultimate year, I got the chance to go on exchange at the University of Texas at Austin.
Needless to say – I had the time of my life!
I’m grateful to have this opportunity as a part of my degree, and I would encourage any CUHK student to take advantage of it!’
Krystal Lau – The University of British Columbia, Canada
‘Surrounded by water and mountains, Vancouver has gorgeous sceneries from literally any vantage point in the city.
I was amazed by how well the natural setting blends into a cosmopolitan city.
As agreed by lots of GLEFers, going on an exchange is one of the best approaches to get out of our comfort zones.
It was no doubt a fruitful and nourishing experience overall!’
Akarsh BHUTANI – Maastricht University, The Netherlands
‘At first, it was a difficult decision to make to go on a year-long exchange.
I believer joy of life comes from our encounter with new and unique experiences.
The best part about going on exchange was travel, I managed to see 16 countries over the period of 9 months.
Bonnie CHANG - The University of British Columbia, Canada
‘“Take every chance you get in life, because some things only happen once.”
In January 2019, I took a leap of faith to start my exchange at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (UBC).
Though my friends always tease me for choosing Vancouver (apparently it is one of the most popular retirement destinations), Vancouver is indeed a nice place to live in.
Living on campus provided me with lots of opportunities to mingle with people.
I am so thankful to what I have experienced and whom I have met in this exchange.
Giovanni TIONARDY - National University of Singapore, Singapore
““Singapore has always been my favourite city, and I am extremely grateful to be able to experience and spend a term at the National University of Singapore.
“Exchange isn’t a year in your life, but it’s a life in a year.”””
