‘In 2022 summer, I worked as a marketing intern at Gamma Paradigm Research, a fintech startup selling private funds and alternative investments in Taiwan. The internship experience was meaningful to me, not only because I gained insights about the fintech, VC, PE market in Taiwan, but also because I found my career aspiration accordingly.

My daily task at Gamma Paradigm Research was dynamic, ranging from writing fintech articles, preparing investment teasers, to assisting in investment event-planning. The most important task for me was to support the development of the Sigma app, an investment platform for trading tokenized securities. The task involved working closely with the developers and quants to upgrade the business model and functions of the Sigma app. I found the experience rewarding since I had the chance to engage in a project thoroughly and become a key contributor to the flagship product.

Based on my internship at Gamma Paradigm Research, I realized my passion for fintech and have a clearer idea in terms of my academic and career planning. Work accounts for a huge part of everyone’s life, and it is important to do a job that you truly enjoy. Therefore, I would recommend students to explore different industries and job positions through internships.’
