‘I joined HSBC as a Global Private Banking Summer Analyst in the summer of 2024.

During the internship, I was assigned to the Hong Kong Investment Counselling Team, which provides investment management services for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals in Hong Kong. It was a fruitful experience for me because I had numerous opportunities to participate in live pitches and portfolio construction, which helped me gain a deeper understanding of the industry and business structure. 

I also met many senior colleagues who were very willing to share their experiences and technical knowledge with juniors. Although the time at the bank was challenging, I remain grateful for the chance to contribute to the team and create value for clients with complex financial objectives.

GLEF program served as a bridge to industry professionals among its alumni network, where our common academic foundation facilitated productive mentorship relationships. Additionally, the interdisciplinary curriculum blending economics and finance has fundamentally shaped my analytical approach, enabling me to examine opportunities through complementary theoretical and practical frameworks.’
