‘In summer 2020, I joined Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in the capacity of Internship Trainee in the Global Markets Division (GMD). Throughout the internship, I had a rotation between the COO business management and syndicate team. It was a challenging yet fruitful experience. It equipped me with valuable knowledge and skills. It also enabled me to network with professional and friendly colleagues who challenged my thinking and helped me pursue my best self.

In COO business management team, I had to get in touch with various GMD stakeholders. Hence, I learnt about their products and market development. Also, I gained an understanding of the relationship between COO and different support functions. It gave me the overall picture of the structure and operations of the GMD. Furthermore, it polished my communication and coordination skills as most of my job duties required constant communication and follow-up with different teams and support functions. In the syndicate, I gained insights into the issuance procedures of credit products for both private placement and public markets. Also, I learnt about different types of credit products and ways to conduct fundamental and technical analysis for fixed income instruments. 

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to GLEF. Two faculties provided me with plenty of academic and career support. Also, the small class size enabled me to have more interactions with other students. I am so grateful that I have met intelligent and amazing friends in GLEF, who have accompanied me throughout these four years and helped me get to where I am today.’
