‘I spent my summer 2022 at Polymer Capital Management, a hedge fund platform, as an investment intern. During my internship, I have been given a variety of tasks, including fundamental equity research, daily market update, trade analysis.

The job is really fascinating and I love the work. The nature of equity research allows me to learn about a wide variety of trends which is closely related to our daily lives, such as automobiles, retailers, and commodities. Through shadowing talents among the industries and discussions with the colleagues, I have learnt a lot on how to become a good portfolio manager and conduct sophisticated equity analysis, in order to beat the market. 

Other than learning hard skills, the internship experience connected me with some of the smartest portfolio managers and traders in the industry, who are really supportive to my career development and are willing to provide me with valuable advice, even after the internship. Overall, the experience is value-adding in almost all aspects.’
