'I had a great opportunity to join Commonwealth Bank of Australia as an intern in the Institutional Banking and Markets department from September 2015 to January 2016. It was fascinating to see how different banks operate and specialise in different focus. This term-time internship gave me a broader and clearer view of banking, where I was able to learn from different divisions within the department, e.g. Clients, Risks, Operations, Markets etc. In addition, I participated in various meetings, workshops, and conferences where I was able to discover different industry situations, macroeconomics view and outlook in the coming years. Throughout the internship, I realised the importance of financial fundamentals as well as interpersonal skills. I believe with a good interpersonal skill, the internship was more dynamic than it would otherwise be. Overall, I really enjoy this internship and I love the working environment at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.'
