‘In the first semester in 2023, I joined the BNP Paribas off-cycle internship program and interned with the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team. The internship journey at the investment bank was enriching and enlightening, in which I was exposed to a great variety of investment banking transactions.

During the six months with BNP Paribas, I was actively involved in the deal pitching and execution process, from helping to prepare marketing materials, Teasers and Investment Memorandums, to learning about the contents of a Non-binding Offers (NBO) by helping to translate it from Chinese to English. 

Furthermore, I was given the chance to assist in the financial modelling process, which included helping to calculate Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) and conducting Comparable Companies Analysis. I firmly believe these experiences provided me with real-world industry exposure to hone my financial knowledge, but also enhanced my communications and also allow me to plan for my future career better.
