“We were grateful and fortunate to be able to form the perfect team in GLEF. When the finals result was announced, we were taken by surprise because we did not perform as per our expectations. Yet we put in our heart and soul to put forth the best presentation possible. From brain storming for hours on end to producing unique graphics for the PowerPoint presentation, we enjoyed every moment we spent together as a team.

The Academic cup allowed us to have a ‘heads up’ and experience thoroughly what to expect from a business case competition. We believe case competitions allow us to apply our business knowledge and strategies to real life business cases. This would equip us for our future careers in the business industry. 

Lastly, there is one more important thing that we gained after the A-cup, a close knit friend group that understands each other’s strengths and weaknesses and works together in perfect harmony!”

Organized annually since 1999, Academic Cup has become a signature event of the CUHK Business School. Each year, teams of students from different business majors will experience the analysis of a real business case through team work, present their ideas on stage and receive valuable feedback from judges, who are industry leaders and alumni. Students with outstanding performance may have a chance to represent CUHK in local or international case competitions.
