“In summer of 2017, I had a chance to work in the equity research department in China International Capital Corporation (CICC).
During my internship, I was involved in several different tasks.
For one, I am able to translate skills and projects experience I grabbed in class into the workplace.
In my undergraduate study, I am glad that I have a wonderful combination of academic and industry experience, which certainly help me to make a clear decision for my short term and long term career.
“During the second semester of my junior year (from January to May 2017), I spent four months with BDA Partners Hong Kong as an investment banking intern analyst, where I started my journey in investment banking career and had a lot fun with many memorable first-time experiences, including my first client meeting, first live M&A deal, first BBQ with colleagues, etc.
It was a rewarding and fruitful four-month journey.
Besides the project, I also assisted with other pitches, research and attended quite a few client meetings with managing directors to take notes, which is also one of my favorite parts in the internship.
I have been grateful for the great opportunity, which helps shape me as a dependable, perceptive and detail-oriented professional and gives me a wonderful culture experience.”
“In the first term of 2017 I was offered an internship with the Valuation Team of Deals Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
During my internship, I was given the chance to involve in multiple tasks, which were related to the valuation of different financial assets.
I have been able to apply my textbook knowledge I acquired from the courses in university.

“During the fall semester in 2016, I interned at Mercer, Hong Kong, in the Investment Advisory team.
Working in a consulting firm was challenging but concurrently rewarding since it was fortunate for me to participate in different genres of projects in which the learning curve was going steeper and steeper along my journey in Mercer.
Besides, I recognized that soft skills appear to be equally essential in the workplace, for example, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills, since liaising with clients and collaborating with colleagues are our everyday language at work.
