This summer I joined the John Swire & Sons summer internship program, it was a fruitful and rewarding experience.

During my summer internship at RD Technologies in the 2024 summer, I worked in the operations department of this innovative financial technology company.  The major products and services offered by the company include RD wallet and stablecoin, HKDR. I was pleased to learn more about Web 3.0 and cryptocurrency, as well as their potential impact on the financial landscape.

During a summer internship at Cowin Capital, a venture capital firm specializing in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) in emerging markets, I gained hands-on experience in startup pitching, pre-IPO investments, and deal execution, notably contributing to a CNY 100 million investment in a cross-border e-commerce company valued at CNY 1.8 billion.

‘I joined HSBC as a Global Private Banking Summer Analyst in the summer of 2024.

During the internship, I was assigned to the Hong Kong Investment Counselling Team, which provides investment management services for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals in Hong Kong.
I also met many senior colleagues who were very willing to share their experiences and technical knowledge with juniors.
GLEF program served as a bridge to industry professionals among its alumni network, where our common academic foundation facilitated productive mentorship relationships.

‘I have taken a gap year to join UBS as an off-cycle Global Markets intern, which is one of my highlights during my university journey.

During that time, I worked under the Prime Relationship Management team, where I learnt a lot about prime brokerage through handling daily tasks.
I also took the opportunity to connect with other teams to understand Global Markets better as a whole.
From its curriculum to their career support, GLEF put students in a well-placed position to explore the interests and pursue a career in the financial industry.
